Wine and Armagnac

Domaine de La Higuere
A 21-minute drive from the campsite you will find Domaine de La Higuere, which has been run by the Esquiro family for 9 generations. They cultivate the family vineyard with respect for nature and pioneer sustainable viticulture. The estate's wines are selected and awarded medals in the biggest national and international guides and competitions. Be sure to visit here for a tour and tasting of the wide variety of wines.

Domaine de Lagajan
It is a 48-minute drive from the campsite but a true gem not to be missed. A now 11th generation family business where you are shown around by a family member themselves in their own museum full of old tools and photos. They also proudly show you the 1907 Alambic still used for distilling armagnac. And finally enjoy tasting under the hundreds of years old oak tree. Guaranteed you will leave here with a few bottles! Given the soil type of the vineyard, you come here mainly for the white wine and rosé and, of course, the armagnac.

Domaine de Cassaigne
A 24-minute drive from the campsite you'll find Domaine de Cassaigne. Not a family business but a wine cooperative. Because they have no less than 30 hectares of vineyard spread over several terroirs, they have a wide variety of grape varieties. For €20 per person, book a guided tour of the Château with its 16th-century kitchen, vineyards and armagnac cellar here. The tour ends with a tasting of 4 wines and 2 armagnacs. Really worthwhile.

Château de Monluc
Just a 15-minute drive from the campsite you will find Château Monluc. Located in the hills of Saint Puy, the Château de Montluc was built on the remains of a 13th-century castle. This residence was the paternal home of the writer and armourer Blaise de Monluc. The place has become the birthplace of a famous aperitif: the Pousse-Rapière. The Château de Monluc also produces country wines of 'Côtes de Gascogne', Floc de Gascogne and Armagnac. The renovated wine cellars are especially worth a visit.

Domaine de Pellehaut
A 43-minute drive from the campsite you will find Domaine de Pellehaut. Mathieu and Martin Béraut, from a line of Armagnac winegrowers trained in viticulture and oenology, have spent 20 years developing the family estate with simplicity and dynamism. There are as many as 15 different grape varieties on the estate, eight varieties of red and seven varieties of white. You are welcome to visit this family estate and, of course, taste the wines, bubbles and armagnac.

Domaine de Bilé
A 46-minute drive from the campsite you will find Domaine de Bilé. Only the 3rd generation of the Della Vedove family makes wine here. It has only been around for a short time but certainly not without enthusiasm. The young 3rd generation organises all kinds of wine tourism activities. On the Domaine de Bilé website you can find all about it. You can go there daily (except Sundays) for a tour and a tasting. There is also a shop at the Domaine where you can buy delicious regional products to complete your apero.
