Only 1 week left!

In 1 week we will open, how? No idea... Just about every supplier who comes over looks around and then asks with a difficult face: 'So the 29ste will you open?"

Last week, we told you about the electrician who might finish in time. Today, we pulled the wires again and then sent him a plea. It helped! He came this afternoon to check that all is well and will come and connect it on Monday. Our faith was not in vain, this is falling into place.

This is how days go at the moment. We go on steadily and just hope that at the end everything will fall into place. There is still a lot to be done, but on the other hand, does it really have to be done? More and more I think, and if this is not finished, then what? The conclusion is usually, then we'll just open and things will work out. Last Sunday we did have a compulsory rest day, fatigue is starting to set in pretty well. I spent it in the hammock, lovely!

We are really looking forward to the opening but it is exciting. A lot is still coming in at the last minute so the shelf life won't be over before we open. The drinks have arrived and the tap has been installed, so we should be fine, right? And for those with a hangover the day after, no problem the new coffee machine is also ready.

Fortunately, we can count on a lot of help. By default, we are already 5 adults thanks to the wonderful help of our lovely and hardworking parents. Last week, a family from our village also came to help clean the accommodations. Voluntarily! Just because they want to help.

What we have left to do now? Well, finishing the kitchen, putting the finishing touches to the toilet block and the safari tents, installing the toilet in the hall, clearing and cleaning the hall, laying electricity, pouring concrete for the stairs near one of the chalets, placing poles for the terrace lighting, shopping, adapting and printing the menus (which my sister has already designed very nicely), mounting new signs at the campsite, planting cypresses at the entrance, cleaning the terrace of the swimming pool and placing parasols and beds, putting terrace furniture together and much more. I don't think we'll be bored next week and we'll be sleeping again sometime in November
